  08/14/2008 - Petrobras to operate 63 offshore drilling rigs by 2017

  During the presentation of 2Q08 financial and operating results made today (08/13) to the members of the Capital Market Investment Analyst and Professional Association (ABIMEC), Petrobras’ CFO, Almir Barbassa, announced the company intends to put new offshore drilling rigs into operation and to close 2017 with 63 units in use in deep and ultradeep waters. This is nearly double the amount of drilling rigs currently in operation.
