UK company CDS Oil & Gas Group this year plans to renew exploratory drilling in Paraguay`s Chaco basin after raising capital on the London Stock Exchange, local press quoted CDS executive Daniel Morrison as saying.
CDS has presented the public works and communications ministry a work program to continue drilling the Independencia III well beyond 1,600m.
The ministry has given CDS until October to resume work, deputy mining and energy minister Héctor Ruiz Díaz said. Drilling could reach 3,200m.
CDS has a working interest in the Chaco basin`s 40,000ha Gabino Mendoza block, 491,000ha PG & E block, and 2.3Mha Boquerón block.
