The Board of Directors of 3M have declared a dividend on the Company’s common stock of 50 cents per share for the third quarter of 2008, payable September 12, 2008, to shareholders of record at the close of business on August 22, 2008. This cash dividend is the 368th consecutive quarterly dividend paid by 3M.


As of June 30, 2008, 3M had 698,990,402 common shares outstanding and 121,532 shareholders of record.
