Oil production in 2011 was the largest in Brazil today. According to the report released by the National Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP), during the 9043 wells in Brazil produced 768 million barrels of oil and 24 billion cubic meters of natural gas. This represents a total of 919 million barrels of oil equivalent (boe), with an average daily flow of 2.52 MMboe / d. Compared with 2010, an increase of 2.5% in oil production and 4.9% in the production of natural gas, when the average daily flow rate was around 2.45 MMboe / d.
The year also marked a new monthly record. In December, we produced approximately 2.214 MMbbl / d (million barrels per day) and 71 MMM ³ / d (million cubic meters per day), totaling around 2.663 MMboe / d (million barrels of oil equivalent per day). There was an increase of approximately 1.6% in oil production compared to the same month in 2010 and approximately 1.2% compared to the previous month.
There was an increase of approximately 3.1% in the production of natural gas compared to the same month in 2010 and approximately 5.1% of natural gas production compared to the previous month.
December had 306 concessions operated by 25 different companies, responsible for domestic production. Of these, 78 are 228 concessions are terrestrial and marine. It is noteworthy that the 306 awards, nine are in exploratory activities and produced by Test (EWT), and another ten are accumulations containing Marginal Fields bid.
Pre-Salt
The pre-salt production was 167.5 Mbbl / d of oil and 5.3 MMM ³ / d of natural gas, totaling 200.6 Mboe / d. These volumes are drawn from nine wells: 1BRSA108AESS and 6BRSA639ESS in Humpback 9BRSA716RJS, and 3BRSA496RJS 9BRSA908DRJS in Lula, 6BRSA806RJS in Caratinga and Barracuda, Marlin 6BRSA817RJS in East 6BRSA770DRJS in Marlin and Albacore, and 3BRSA861SPS in TLD-BM-S-9 ( Carioca Northeast). Of the nine producing wells in the pre-salt reservoirs, eight are among the 30 wells with the highest total production in barrels of oil equivalent.
Highlighting the field wells Lula, where the three currently producing the list of the top 30 producers. Well 9BRSA716RJS, Lula field, follows as well with the increased production of oil, the eighth consecutive month, with a production of 26.3 Mbbl / d. The second most productive well, 3BRSA496RJS is also located in the field of Lula, and produced about 25.4 Mbbl / d.
Production of Lula, Oyster and Albacora Leste increased 26,600 barrels / day in December
The fields with the largest increases in oil production were Lula, Oyster and Albacora Leste, respectively, which together produced about 26.6 Mbbl / from more than was produced by these fields in November 2011. The field with higher oil production was Roncador, in the Campos Basin, and Rio Urucu Solimoes Basin, had the largest natural gas production. About 91.2% of the production of oil and natural gas from fields operated by Petrobras. About 91.9% of oil production and 76.2% of natural gas production in Brazil has been exploited in offshore fields.
The three onshore fields with higher oil and natural gas to barrels of oil equivalent (Boe) were Urucu River, east of the Urucu and Carmarthen respectively. The onshore fields Urucu River and east of the Urucu, both in the Solimoes Basin, occupied the first and second place respectively in the ratio of the largest producers of natural gas, and are the only onshore fields in the top 20 producers in barrels of oil equivalent. Six onshore wells are among the 30 most productive natural gas, four field and two Rio Urucu field east of the Urucu.
The field with the largest number of producing wells was Canto do Amaro, Potiguar Basin, with 1,122 wells.
