BowLeven said Wednesday that it has reached target depth on the D-1 exploration well located in Block MLHP 5 offshore Cameroon. The primary objectives of the D-1 well were to explore the presence, extent, quality and fluid phase of Upper Miocene channelised turbidite sands.

Initial logging indicates that the D-1 well has successfully intersected log-evaluated hydrocarbon bearing Miocene sands. Logging continues and preparations are being made to Drill Stem Test the well.
