The Brazilian Association of Industrial Engineering (ABEMI) is present at the Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) 2025, held from May 5 to 8 at NRG Park in Houston, USA. Considered the world’s leading offshore energy event, OTC brings together over 30,000 industry professionals to discuss the future of energy worldwide.

ABEMI is part of the Brazil Pavilion, organized by ApexBrasil through the Brazil Machinery Solutions project, in partnership with ABIMAQ (Brazilian Machinery and Equipment Industry Association). This year, the pavilion features 31 Brazilian companies, including ABEMI members recognized for their innovative solutions and cutting-edge technology.

Among the participating member companies are DBR Energies, Enterprise Transportes Internacionais, Fluxo Soluções Integradas, HBR, Metroval, TSE, and Tenenge. “The Brazil Pavilion is a key showcase for highlighting what Brazilian engineering has been achieving in terms of technology, efficiency, and energy transition. ABEMI is here to strengthen connections and open doors for our members in a highly competitive market,” says Paolo Fiorletta, ABEMI director.

Energy future

During OTC 2025, ABEMI is actively engaged in discussions on decarbonization, operational efficiency, and the role of renewable energy in the offshore sector. Its presence at the event underscores the capacity of Brazilian engineering to lead technological solutions aligned with the demands of a cleaner and more efficient energy future.

Petrobras also attended the event, with its president Magda Chambriard participating in the opening ceremony and speaking on the panel “Setting the Scene in Brazil: An Anticipation of What Is Coming.” In her presentation, Magda emphasized Petrobras’ pursuit of international partnerships to strengthen the Brazilian shipbuilding industry, especially through investments in local shipyards aimed at supporting the company’s expansion goals.
