T&B Petroleum/Press Office ANP
A resolution establishing the Operational Safety Management was approved yesterday (3/12) by the ANP board, pursuant to the Technical Regulation on Terminals for Handling and Storage of Oil, Derivatives, Natural Gas and Biofuels (RTT). The new rules are inspired by the experience gained from the edition of other regulations already published by the ANP, such as the Technical Regulation of Terrestrial Pipelines (RTDT) and the Operational Safety Management of Subsea Systems (SGSS), and emphasizes regulation by performance, in which the regulated companies will propose indicators and targets for the management of the security of the facilities.
The RTT elaboration process was preceded by a wide debate with the society, in order to build an efficient regulation to increase the operational safety and the integrity of the terminals.
