The ANP held the largest joint monitoring action in its history to verify the quality of fuels in Brazil between August 19 and 23. Approximately 681 stations were inspected in 100 municipalities, located in all states plus the Federal District. Several bodies participated in the action: IPEM, State Public Prosecutors, Procons etc. This operation is part of the ANP's strategy of intensifying inspection in the retail segment, providing the consumer with greater safety in terms of fuel quality when it comes to fueling their vehicle.

In the operation, the ANP made nine quality interdictions. There were also 40 low pump nozzle interdictions (when the amount of fuel shown in the pump is less than that in the vehicle). In addition to 90 other irregularities. The posts assessed will respond to administrative proceedings and will be subject to fines.
