T&B Petroleum/Press Office Firjan
Without major surprises, Brazil once again stands out as the largest international delegation at the world's leading offshore technologies and energy fair, OTC Houston. In this edition, Firjan reinforces the strategic role of the state of Rio as a Hub of Opportunities and Technology, with institutional space dedicated to the Federation and a booth for the international promotion of Firjan SENAI SESI's technology and training competencies.
"This is the ninth year we have participated in OTC Houston, and the partnership with APEX is very important. Rio stands out from the rest of the country, not only as the main producing state but also for the fantastic work in mapping opportunities and supporting technological development through Firjan SENAI and SESI Technology and Innovation Institutes," explained Luiz Césio Caetano, vice president of Firjan, during the opening ceremony of the Brazil Pavilion.
Throughout the four-day fair, Firjan will be present at the Brazil Pavilion organized by APEX Brazil, internationally showcasing the training and technological development services offered by Firjan SENAI SESI.
ENERGY TRANSITION AND INTEGRATION IN RIO
At the Brazil Pavilion, APEX Brazil promoted a panel on "Presentation of investment opportunities in Brazil." During the presentation, Firjan's Vice President announced the update of the Rio Energy Projects Panel.
"We have identified approximately R$ 1 trillion in projects in execution, confirmed, and potential in oil, gas, offshore wind, hydrogen, and naval. It's not just a Rio of opportunities, it's an entire ocean!" highlighted Caetano.

At the same opportunity, the preview launch of Firjan SENAI SESI's unpublished publication focused on decarbonization themes was held, with the full version to be published during Macaé Energy 2024 in June. With the participation of various agents from the oil, gas, and energy markets, the Executive Summary of the publication was distributed during the fair.
"Complementing Firjan's stance on energy integration, the publication called 'Energy Transition and Integration in Rio' features technical contributions from important market agents, such as ANP, EPE, Abeeolica, ABH2, the Rio Government, and Porto do Açu, which is supporting the Brazil Pavilion here through Prumo," explained Firjan's Vice President.
