The ANP published (August 20) the page for the Environmental Database (BDA) Netuno, a partnership between the Agency and the Brazilian Institute of Environment and Renewable Natural Resources (Ibama), through a technical cooperation agreement. The agreement aimed to promote a favorable environment for the development of public and private initiatives to strengthen the management of data, information, and environmental studies related to oil and natural gas exploration and production activities in Brazil.
The BDA Netuno has the collaboration of the geophysics industry, with the goal of facilitating public access to environmental data with transparency. These data come from the environmental licensing of marine seismic survey activities in Brazil, conducted by Ibama.
The database centralizes data from various monitoring, control, and mitigation projects required by the licensing agency, allowing for georeferenced visualization of the data and the download of information related to marine biota. The tool continues to evolve as a living database, resulting from numerous recurring meetings between companies, Ibama, and the technical partnership with the University of Vale do Itajaí (Univali) and EnerGeo.
