Between 2023 and 2027, Santa Catarina should receive more than R$ 773 million in investments for Natural Gas. By the end of this period, more than 80 municipalities in Santa Catarina will have the infrastructure for cleaner, more efficient and safer energy. The data are from SCGÁS, which obtained the approval of its most recent Multiannual Business Plan.

There will be around 33,731 new Natural Gas consumers in the state. The forecast is that, in the next 5 years, 132 new industries will start using energy in their processes. Another 33,239 homes in Santa Catarina will receive natural gas during this period, in addition to 344 new businesses and 16 gas stations in the state.

In order for the gas technology to reach these consumers, a new 583 km of distribution network will be built, in addition to the current 1,429.8 km of infrastructure. Around R$ 641 million will be allocated to the expansion of the network alone, a record amount in the history of Santa Catarina.

Projects such as Serra Catarinense and Planalto Norte will continue to be executed and plan to internalize the gas in the state. The highlight is also the urban expansion of energy, with the construction of more than 131 km in urban centers.
