CNG will be about 4% cheaper in Rio.
T&B Petroleum/Press Office NaturgyNaturgy announces that natural gas tariffs will be adjusted starting February 1. The reduction in tariffs is due to the decrease in the cost of natural gas supplied by Petrobras.
The reduction for customers in the Rio de Janeiro Metropolitan Area (Ceg) will be, on average, -1.78% for residential customers (7m³/month); -1.85% for commercial customers (400 m³/month); -3.97% for CNG stations; and -3.76% for industries (3Mm³/month). For customers in the interior of the state (Ceg Rio), the reduction will be -0.48% for residences (7m³/month), -0.56% for commerce (400 m³/month), -0.23% for CNG stations, and -0.18% for industries (3Mm³/month).
The reduction will benefit approximately 1 million customers in the residential, commercial, industrial, and CNG sectors. Currently, Rio de Janeiro is the leader in CNG, with approximately 1.7 million converted light vehicles and over 700 CNG stations installed.
