Stephanie Al-Qaq has been appointed the new Ambassador of His Majesty King Charles III to Brazil. The first woman to head the mission in the country, she held leadership positions in countries in the Middle East, where she stood out as responsible for the nuclear negotiations.
Stephanie Al-Qaq's relationship with Brazil doesn't start now. Two of her three children were born in the country while she was Political Adviser at the British Embassy in Brasilia between 2007 and 2012.
Before joining British diplomacy, Stephanie Al-Qaq worked at Reuters, Amnesty International Brazil, Human Rights Watch, the House of Commons and the Department for International Development, having worked in several countries in the Middle East, Africa, Europe and the Americas. .
Stephanie Al-Qaq holds a BA in International Politics and French from the University of Birmingham and an MA in International Relations from the University's School of Oriental and African Studies.
