Energy transition fair, balanced, and inclusive: pathways for the oil and gas sector to enable the new green economy. This was the theme of the seminar held this Wednesday, the 24th, in Brasília, in partnership between the Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME), Pre-Salt Petroleum (PPSA), and the Energy Research Company (EPE). Minister Alexandre Silveira will open the event. Following that, the National Secretary for Energy Transition and Planning, Thiago Barral, will discuss the Energy Transition Plan, and EPE Director Heloisa Borges will present a groundbreaking study on the topic.
Tabita Loureiro, Technical Director and Acting President of PPSA, will moderate a panel discussion, featuring Heloísa Borges, Rosangela Buzanelli, a Petrobras council member, and Luciana Costa, Director of Energy Transition and Climate Change at BNDES.
According to Tabita, the idea is to discuss the transition with facts, highlighting the role and contribution of the oil and gas sector to a fair, balanced, and inclusive energy transition.
The Secretary of Oil and Natural Gas, Pietro Mendes, will close the event, which will be held in the MME auditorium, starting at 2 p.m.
