Sindicom will participate in ROG.e 2026, one of the world’s leading energy events, taking place from September 21 to 24 at Riocentro in Rio de Janeiro. For the first time, the organization will take part in hosting the Lubricants Arena, which is returning for its second edition at the event.

Created in 2024, the Arena returns this year with an expanded program and will be one of ROG.e’s highlights. The space will be located in Pavilion 3 and will bring together representatives of major companies, experts, technical professionals, regulatory authorities, and executives to discuss challenges, trends, and opportunities across Brazil’s lubricants value chain.

Over the four-day event, the Arena will feature a series of lectures and panels scheduled at different times and organized around four main themes: industry; ESG and sustainability; the market and fraud in the sector; and quality.

The program was designed to bring together different perspectives on issues affecting the segment, promoting the exchange of experience and knowledge among participants.

Sindicom’s participation in ROG.e comes at a symbolic moment for the organization, which has contributed to the development and strengthening of the fuel and lubricants distribution markets for more than eight decades.

“Taking part in ROG.e in such a symbolic year for Sindicom, as we celebrate our 85th anniversary, is an opportunity to reaffirm our commitment to the development of the markets we represent. By taking on the responsibility of serving as the content partner for the Lubricants Arena, we want to expand the dialogue among companies, experts, regulatory authorities, and the different links in the value chain, bringing fundamental issues for the sector’s future to the forefront,” says Augusto Salomon (pictured), Sindicom’s Chief Executive Officer.

The program begins with a focus on innovation, technology, and industrial efficiency. Topics include advances in biofuel testing and their impact on lubricants, the use of predictive monitoring to increase the efficiency and reliability of industrial operations, and the possibilities offered by artificial intelligence for lubricant monitoring.

The discussions will also address how new technologies can contribute to decision-making and the development of production processes.

Another theme will be ESG and sustainability, with discussions on pathways toward a more sustainable lubricants industry, as well as experiences related to operational excellence and industry best practices.

The Arena will also address issues related to market integrity, including fraud, counterfeiting, and cargo theft, bringing together different stakeholders to discuss prevention, enforcement, security, and the impacts of such practices.

Under the quality and regulation agenda, participants will discuss the impact of international conflicts on the base-oil supply chain, as well as technological advances and the changes influencing the quality, performance, and application of these products.

The lubricants market is undergoing a period of transformation driven by technological advances, new sustainability requirements, and changes in consumption patterns. Against this backdrop, the Lubricants Arena will serve as a space for bringing together different links in the value chain and discussing the issues shaping the segment’s future, with Sindicom participating in the organization of the initiative.

“Lubricants are at the center of important transformations in the industry involving technology, sustainability, quality, regulation, and security. The Arena makes it possible to bring together different perspectives and share knowledge about these changes. We expect this year’s program to further expand the dialogue and consolidate the Arena as a relevant forum for the sector,” the executive adds.
