Vallourec, one of the world's leaders in premium tubular solutions, announces the signing of a five-year contract with Equinor in Brazil to provide a complete supply of seamless steel tubes, connections, accessories, and premium services. Equinor, a global energy giant, is one of the largest oil producers in Brazil.

Vallourec's high-performance, low-carbon OCTG solutions will contribute to the development of the Bacalhau and Raia fields, operated in the pre-salt layer, and the Peregrino field in the post-salt layer, supporting Equinor's Energy Transition Plan, which aims to achieve Net Zero by 2050. The contract also includes innovative digital solutions and Vallourec's Tubular Management Services (TMS). These services will increase the efficiency of onshore and offshore operations and reduce costs for Equinor.

Vallourec's strategic premium hub in Brazil, comprising the Barreiro and Jeceaba production plants (Minas Gerais) and the VTS (Vallourec Tubular Solutions) integrated service center in Rio das Ostras (Rio de Janeiro), will meet all of Equinor's demands with high local content and an optimized supply chain.

Bertrand Frischmann, Director of Operations for the Americas and member of Vallourec's Executive Committee, commented: "Vallourec has been a supplier to Equinor for over 10 years thanks to its specialized expertise and high-value-added products. Our OCTG products and services will enable Equinor's operation in challenging pre-salt fields, highlighting our level of excellence in Brazil."

The first deliveries under the contract are scheduled for the second half of 2025.

The company also has a Business unit in the state, providing administrative services. With production lines in Minas Gerais and São Paulo, Vallourec Tubos para Indústria (VTI) supplies seamless and welded steel tubes and tubular solutions for the general industry, especially for automotive, energy, machinery, and industrial equipment markets. In Rio de Janeiro, Vallourec Tubular Solutions (VTS) provides specialized services for the oil and gas sector. In Espírito Santo, the company provides anticorrosive coating services.
