Petrobras informs that in September, for the fourth consecutive month, it exceeded the production record of Diesel S-10, with low sulfur content, reaching the mark of 1.89 million m³. Also in September, Petrobras reached a record sales for the same product when 1.91 million m³ were sold.

The growth in the production of Diesel S-10 has occurred in recent years due to greater demand for the product in Brazil, which follows the evolution of engines for heavy vehicles and utility vehicles powered by diesel, responsible for most of the circulation of goods in the national territory.

The record sales of low sulfur diesel reflects the commercial actions implemented by the company with the aim of mitigating the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on fuel demand and our successful efforts to expand the product offering with less sulfur content, replacing Diesel S-500.

The production record for Diesel S-10 has been surpassed since June, when 1.63 million m³ were produced, a mark surpassed in July (1.81 million m³) and in August (1.84 million m³). Product sales in September surpassed the previous record of 1.78 million m³ by 7.3%, recorded in July 2020.
