Begins on Monday (5) in Houston, the United States, the 45th edition of the world's leading offshore oil, the Offshore Technology Conference (OTC). About 2,500 companies will be participating in the event, according to the organization expects to receive this year more than 100,000 people over the four days. 

The energy reform in Mexico and the growth of female participation in the energy market will be the new topics covered in this edition of the conference. On this first day, the breakfast event featured the presentation of brazilian engineer Oswaldo Pedrosa, president of the Pre-Sal Petroleo SA (PPSA), which manages state oil exploration of pre-salt.

Held annually, the OTC is the world's premier forum for discussions on the technological challenges and trends in the oil and gas industry on the planet and largest showcase for the companies that participate in the production chain of this industry. The event is among the largest 200 trade shows held annually in the United States and among the top 10 in terms of audience. 

Last year, there were 89,400 participants, the third highest number in the history of the event and 14% higher than that achieved in 2011, which received 78 645 spectators.
