T&B Petroleum/Press Office ANP
The ANP postponed the date for resuming the weekly publication of the Fuel Prices Survey (LPC), initially scheduled for 9/14. The change results from the need for adjustments in the process of implementing the new format, guaranteeing the reliability of the data, in line with the provisions of the Terms of Reference of the contracting company providing the service. The survey reports the prices of automotive fuels and LPG (cooking gas).
ANP is working to start the first stage of the research as soon as possible
The new format of the LPC foresees the use of an electronic form, which captures the researcher's geolocation, with date and time, and requests the inclusion of photos of the post and of the price panel, guaranteeing the reliability and traceability of the data, in addition to the introduction of additive C gasoline prices.
In addition, the LPC no longer captures the prices paid for stations to distributors, as currently ANP Resolutions No. 729/2018 and No. 795/2019 already oblige distributors to provide this data through the Product Movement Information System (YES P). These data will be made available on the ANP portal.

The geographical scope and frequency of the survey remain the same. However, according to the bidding criteria, the contract provides for the gradual expansion of the samples and of the participating municipalities until approximately 6 thousand gas stations and approximately 4,400 LPG resellers are reached weekly, located in 459 locations.
In the first stage, the survey will cover at least 26 state capitals and the Federal District. The addition of municipalities will take place over eight stages.
