Aker Solutions in Brazil appoints new responsible for subsea business

Company will open a new production facility.

The mechanical engineer Maria Peralta takes the subsea business unit of Aker Solutions in Brazil. The executive, who held the position of vice president of subsea production systems and was responsible for well systems, tie-in & structures, manifolds and project execution in the Brazil region, replaces Egil Boyum, who served in office since 2011. Boyum shall have overall responsibility for delivery strategies, implementing tools and processes in the business subsea area.
With 18 years experience, 14 in the submarine segment of the oil and gas industry, Peralta has experience in all phases of projects, including portfolio management of several clients and large teams. Maria Peralta also has international experience in other industrial areas. Mechanical engineer with postgraduate studies in Project Management and Executive MBA in Business Administration, has tickets for companies in Portugal, India and Brazil in your employment history.
New unit 
Aker Solutions will open a new production facility for subsea equipment in Curitiba (Paraná state in Brazil) in 2015, which will replace the current plant and will employ approximately 1,100 people.
The company also announced the construction of a new headquarters for multiple services for your business of drilling equipment in Macae, 180 km northeast of Rio de Janeiro, which will significantly increase your ability to meet the drilling rapidly growing market in the country. This office will be the fourth installation of Aker Solutions in Brazil, besides the headquarters in the Oyster River, Curitiba and Rio de Janeiro.
