All stages of the operational process for distributing royalties by the ANP, related to March 2025 production under concession and transfer of rights contracts, were completed today (May 22).

The total amount transferred directly to states was R$ 860,202,044.54, while municipalities received R$ 1,059,529,895.23. In terms of the number of beneficiaries, funds were distributed to 776 municipalities and 11 states.

In addition to these federal entities, portions of the royalties calculated by the Agency were also allocated to the Federal Government and the Special Fund, in accordance with current legislation.

Detailed royalty amounts per beneficiary, including historical data, are available at:
https://www.gov.br/anp/pt-br/assuntos/royalties-e-outras-participacoes/royalties.
Data for the current month is still being consolidated and will be published soon on the same page.

Regarding royalties from production sharing contracts, related to March 2025 production, the funds will be made available to beneficiaries as soon as all required operational steps are completed.

ANP’s Role in Royalty Distribution
The ANP is responsible for calculating, determining, and distributing royalties to beneficiary entities (Federal Government, States, and Municipalities). Royalties are distributed based on several criteria established by Law No. 7,990/1989 and Decree No. 1/1991 (for the 5% royalty share), and Law No. 9,478/1997 and Decree No. 2,705/1998 (for the share exceeding 5%).

The Agency is committed to full transparency regarding the resources distributed to beneficiaries and to the rigorous execution of the complex operational processes involved in the national distribution of royalties.

There is no fixed date established by law for royalty payments. Nevertheless, the ANP is committed to ensuring that royalty revenues reach beneficiaries as quickly as possible.

Deposit amounts and their respective beneficiaries can be consulted on the Banco do Brasil website:
