At the São Paulo mills, hydrous ethanol rose 0.47% in the week from January 11 to 15, from R $ 2.0639 per liter to R $ 2.0737 per liter, on average, according to the Center for Advanced Studies in Economics Applied (Cepea / Esalq). The value of anhydrous fell 0.30%, from R $ 2.4017 to R $ 2.3945 per liter, on average.

Cepea explained that the Weekly Hydrated Ethanol Indicator already considers the tax change that will take effect as of this date in the State of São Paulo. "Therefore, sales aimed at supplying the State itself with 13.3% of ICMS and sales to other states with 12% of ICMS will be considered. As in most days of this week (January 11, 12, 13 and 14) the rate of 12% for domestic sales was in force, the value of the Indicator to be released today on the Cepea website will be calculated with business prices involving a rate of 12% (including trades carried out today with this rate - foreign sales) . " "At the same time, another Indicator will be released with businesses that incur a rate of 13.3% ... Starting next week, both indicators will be available on the website."
