The ANP Board of Directors approved today (02/06) the launch of a 45-day prior consultation on Technical Note No. 1/2025/SIM/ANP. The document contains a study for regulating the criteria for calculating natural gas transportation tariffs, the procedure for approving transportation pipeline tariffs, and the criteria and guidelines for revenue-sharing mechanisms among interconnected natural gas transporters.

The technical note and guidelines for participating in the prior consultation will be published soon on the ANP website.

The prior consultation includes a questionnaire addressing topics such as investments, regulatory asset base, incentive-based regulation, maximum allowed revenue (RMP), transportation tariffs, regulatory accounts, and revenue-sharing among transporters.

The purpose is to gather input and contributions from society to support the regulatory impact analysis (RIA) and the future draft resolution that will establish the criteria for calculating pipeline transportation tariffs for natural gas services, in accordance with Article 9 of Law No. 14.134/2021 (New Gas Law).

As part of Action No. 2.8 of the ANP Regulatory Agenda 2022-2023 (extended to 2024), the goal is for the contributions to assist in drafting a resolution to replace the current regulation on natural gas transportation tariffs, ANP Resolution No. 15/2014.
