The ANP Board of Directors approved yesterday (9/23) the list of civil servants who may be substitute directors as of 01/31/2022, for a period of up to two years. The nine names appointed, divided into three triple lists, will be submitted to the President of the Republic, who will select three to compose the final triple list.

The first placed on each of the triple lists, according to the choice of the current directors, are Luiz Henrique Bispo (Superintendent of Local Content), Cláudio Jorge de Souza (Superintendent of Technical Data) and Marina Abelha (Superintendent of Exploration).

If there is no publication of the designation decree by the Presidency of the Republic until 01/31/2022, the list will be formed by the superintendents with more time in the position.

The triple list is determined by Law 9,986/2000, with wording given by the General Law of Agencies (Law No. 13,848/2019). According to the legislation, three names must be selected among the servers of the regulatory agencies, occupying the positions of superintendent, general manager or hierarchical equivalent, to act as substitutes in the event of a vacancy in the board of directors of the agency.

Each public servant on the triple list, which is valid for two years, may stay as interim for up to 180 days (being replaced by the following name on the list) or until the director who will definitively occupy the position takes office, upon nomination and appointment by the President of the Republic, after approval by the Federal Senate.

The current triple list, which is valid until 01/31/2022, is composed of José Gutman (Superintendent of Governance and Strategy), Raphael Moura (Superintendent of Operational Safety and Environment and, currently, deputy director of the Board 4) and Marcelo Castilho (Superintendent of Development and Production).
