Trendsetter Vulcan Offshore (TVO), a developer of innovative solutions for the offshore industry, has added Jeff Bockmiller and Mike Tricarico to its project management staff.

“Our investment in people is foundational to designing and safely implementing tailored technology solutions,” says TVO President Jim Maher. “We are adding to our portfolio and expanding our expert project management team to keep pace with the increasing demand for our systems because it vitally important to ensure that the best people are in place to manage critical installations.”

Jeff Bockmiller has spent more than a decade in project management and has 17+ years of experience in the energy industry. Before joining TVO, he spent 15 years with Vallourec, where he worked for the offshore riser team. There, he helped develop a large-diameter, threaded, coupled drilling riser and managed complex projects, including the Bigfoot and Appomattox workover riser programs. Bockmiller also managed the main steam and feedwater isolation valve project for Hinkley Point C nuclear facility— one of the largest, most complex infrastructure projects in Europe and the first new nuclear plant to be built in the UK in more than 30 years—for which he was recognized with a global award for project management excellence.

Mike Tricarico brings to the table not only a solid project management background but also nearly 20 years of deep technical and design experience. He began his career with design, fabrication, and project management of hardware in low earth orbit on the International Space Station then transitioned to offshore projects, which include the deepest offshore top tension riser systems and highest-pressure offshore wells in the Gulf of Mexico, Brazil, Asia, Africa, and the North Sea.

“I’m looking forward to putting my experience in riser technology, mechanical systems, and project management to work, designing and implementing technologies that help energy companies resolve operational challenges to improve drilling safety and increase production,” Tricarico says.

According to TVO Vice President Kevin Chell, adding experienced industry experts like Bockmiller and Tricarico is part of the company’s plan to enhance the capabilities of the in-house team. “Project execution is crucial, and having knowledgeable and experienced people on our team to plan and manage our projects ensures that we can consistently deliver results to our customers,” Chell says.
