T&B Petroleum/Press Office ANP
The ANP (National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas, and Biofuels) released today (November 6) the second phase of the GeoMapsANP system, an advanced platform for visualizing and consulting geospatial data in the oil and gas exploration and production (E&P) sector. With this update, both the functionalities and the volume of available information have been expanded.
GeoMapsANP is available at: https://geomaps.anp.gov.br/
Among the new features, in addition to technical data and contracted areas, the system now includes data on blocks from completed licensing rounds, offered and awarded blocks, and blocks from ongoing rounds. One key addition is the inclusion of data on relinquished areas, providing a broader view of the E&P landscape in Brazil.
Another significant update is the enhanced search tool, which now allows for the retrieval of seismic, multiphysics data, and information on sedimentary basins, bringing greater speed and efficiency to users. Additionally, the new version enables users to identify which geospatial data layers have been recently updated.
GeoMapsANP has also been integrated with the National Rock and Fluid Sample Management System (SisRoc), allowing users to access rock and fluid samples available in the well inventory, making ANP's data ecosystem increasingly comprehensive and functional.
The GeoMapsANP system will continue to be improved with the goal of offering a modern and user-friendly platform, aligned with the Agency's innovation directive. This second phase further enhances transparency and accessibility to data regulated by ANP, providing an enriched experience for companies, researchers, and other stakeholders in the energy sector.
