At the 81st ANP Biodiesel Auction, 1,293,587,000 liters of biodiesel were purchased to meet the mandatory blend. There were no finishes for voluntary mixing. All this volume came from producers holding the Social Biofuel Seal. The average trading price was R$5.658/L, without considering the acquirer's margin. The total value traded reached the level of R$7.32 billion, reflecting an average discount of 27.6% when compared to the weighted average of the regional "Maximum Reference Prices" (R$7.811/L).

The stage of submitting offers to meet the mandatory blend took place on 8/9/2021, with 45 producers providing a total volume of 1,534,960,000 liters of biodiesel. Continuing the Biodiesel Auction process, in the first stage of selection of offers, held on 8/10/2021, 80,641,000 liters of biodiesel were purchased, a volume that came exclusively from small producers holding the Social Biofuel Seal, representing 60.1% of the volume offered by these producers and 5.3% of the total offered in the Auction.

In the second stage of selection of offers, held on 8/11 and 12/8/2021, 1,071,454,000 liters of biodiesel were purchased, exclusively from producers holding the Social Biofuel Seal, representing 69.8% of the total volume offered in the Auction.

In the third stage of selection of offers, held on 8/13/2021, 141,492,000 liters were sold, representing around 9.2% of the total offered in the Auction.

The process of submitting biodiesel offers by the mills and selection by distributors for voluntary mixing took place on 8/17/2021. 29,500,000 liters were made available, 100% from producers holding the Social Biofuel Seal. This volume represented 12.2% of the total unsold offer balance for mandatory addition purposes. At this stage there was no negotiation carried out.

The Biodiesel Auctions are intended to comply with Law No. 13,263, of March 23, 2016, and CNPE Resolution No. 16, of October 29, 2018, to implement the evolution schedule of the mandatory addition of biodiesel to diesel oil sold to final costumer.

It is noteworthy that the 81st Auction (L81) aims to ensure the supply of biodiesel in the national market during the period from September 1st to October 31st, 2021, according to the criteria established in Public Auction Notice No. 004/21-ANP.
