The ANP published today (30/7) a new version of the Permanent Offer notice, with the inclusion of 377 exploratory blocks, which had been approved by the Agency's board in May, in the process. Blocks and areas purchased in the 2nd Cycle of Permanent Offer were also excluded from the notice, as well as two areas with marginal accumulations (Rio Ibiribas and Miranga Leste) for decommissioning of their facilities, in compliance with the terms and deadlines established in ANP Resolution No. 817/ 2020. With the changes, the Permanent Offer now makes available a total of 1,068 blocks.

The updated Permanent Offer notice went through a public hearing on June 2nd, providing an opportunity for the market and society to express their views on its content. The document published today underwent legal evaluation by the Federal Attorney at the ANP and approval by the Agency's collegiate board.

The Permanent Offer consists of the continuous offer of exploratory blocks and areas with marginal accumulations located in any onshore or offshore basins. The exception is the blocks located in the Pre-salt Polygon, in strategic areas or on the Continental Shelf beyond 200 nautical miles, as well as those authorized to make up the 17th and 18th Bidding Rounds. In this way, companies, especially those that do not yet operate in Brazil, have the opportunity to study these areas without the time limitation that traditional rounds provide.
