T&B Petroleum/Press Office ANP
The ANP publishes today (6/30), on its Portal, the consolidated information on the evolution of the oil, natural gas and biofuels sector in Brazil and in the world in 2019. The tables, tables, graphs, cartograms and texts will be published later on Brazilian Statistical Yearbook of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels 2020 and can be consulted on the page http://www.anp.gov.br/publicacoes/anuario-estatistico/anuario-estatistico-2020.
One of the highlights of 2019 was the bidding rounds for areas for exploration and production. The 16th Round in the concession model was carried out, with a collection of signature bonuses of more than R $ 8.9 billion, the 6th Round of Sharing and the Bidding Round for the Surplus of the Transfer of Rights, which together collected approximately R $ 75 billion. In 2019, ANP also carried out the 1st Permanent Offer Cycle, which raised R $ 22.3 million in subscription bonuses.
National oil production grew 7.8% in 2019 and reached 2.8 million barrels / day. The increase was led by the supply of pre-salt oil, which reached an average of 1.7 million barrels / day in the year, about 62.3% of the country's production. In the same sense, the production of natural gas increase of 9.5%, tenth consecutive year of increase, and reached 123 million m3 / day. In the pre-salt, the production of natural gas also continues to increase its share in the national total and corresponded to 57.9% in 2019.
In the biofuels sector, biodiesel production was 10.3% higher than the previous year, mainly due to the increase in the mixture content in diesel oil from 10% to 11%. Ethanol production was 6.9% higher than the previous year, reaching the historic mark of 35.3 billion liters. As a result of the increase in production, sales of hydrous ethanol grew 16.3% in 2019, due to the greater competitiveness of the prices of this fuel in relation to gasoline C.
Due to the increase in domestic production, in 2019, oil exports reached the highest value in the historical series, 1.2 million barrels / day, an annual increase of 4.4%. Oil imports, on the other hand, grew only 1.7%.
The national production of oil products remained stable in 2019, reaching 1.8 million barrels / day, around 76.5% of the installed refining capacity. Sales of oil products by distributors, on the other hand, registered a growth of 0.7%, with emphasis on sales of diesel oil, which grew 3%.
In 2019, the volume of obligations under the clause of the concession, sharing and onerous assignment contracts, related to investments in research, development and innovation (RD&I) was R $ 1.9 billion. The amount generated by government stakes reached R $ 56 billion in 2019, an increase of 5.6% in relation to the previous year.
