Average prices of hydrated ethanol rose in 12 states and the Federal District this week, according to a survey by the National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP) compiled by AE-Rates. The price of biofuel fell in 13 other states and remained stable in Amapá.
At the stations surveyed by the ANP across the country, the average price of ethanol rose 0.47%, to R $ 2.782, compared to R $ 2.769 in the previous week. In relation to the last 30 days, the increase was 1.64%, when the price was R $ 2.737.
In São Paulo, the main producer, consumer state and with the most evaluated stations, the average price of hydrated products was R $ 2.571, representing an increase of 0.23% compared to the previous week (R $ 2.565) and increased 1.50% in the comparison with the last 30 days (R $ 2.533). In Goiás, biofuel recorded the highest percentage increase in the week, from 2.94%, to R $ 2.903. The biggest weekly drop, of 3.71%, was seen in Piauí, at R $ 3,322.
In the monthly comparison, ethanol prices fell in 8 states and rose in 17 and in the Federal District. They did not change in Amapá. The state that recorded the highest percentage increase in the monthly comparison was Goiás, with an increase of 8.32% in the price of hydrated ethanol. The most significant fall was seen in Roraima (-7.41%).
The minimum price recorded last week for ethanol at a gas station was R $ 2.159 a liter in São Paulo, and the lowest average state price, at R $ 2.571, was also registered in São Paulo. The maximum individual price, of R $ 4,859 per liter, was verified at a post in Acre. Rio Grande do Sul had the highest average price of R $ 3.991.
