Bahia Oil & Gas Energy 2023 will officially start activities this Wednesday (24th) at the Salvador Convention Center. The opening ceremony will be held on site at 2 pm. The event, held by Sebrae, Polo Sebrae Onshore and Petronor, continues until Friday (26). Present at the opening ceremony will be the superintendent of Sebrae Bahia, Jorge Khoury, the technical director, Franklin Santos, the director of Administration and Finance, Vitor Lopes, the partners who organize the event, Nicolás Honorato, director of PetroNor, Eduardo Rappel and Antonio Rivas , coordinators of the Petroleum and Gas Committee of the Polytechnic Institute of Bahia, and Anabal Santos, Executive Secretary of ABPIP, in addition to ministers, state secretaries, authorities and representatives of partner entities linked to the oil, gas and energy sector.

There will be three days of intense programming to address relevant topics related to the sector. Bahia Oil & Gas Energy should bring together around 2,000 participants daily.

This year's edition will consist of a technical conference, a business fair, an innovation arena, an ESG arena, business meetings (PetroSupply Meeting), field visits and an agenda for students.

Bahia Oil & Gas Energy will take place every two years, addressing issues related to exploration and production (upstream), transportation (midstream), refining (downstream), petrochemicals, shipbuilding and energy transition.

The objective is to promote a sectorial business environment to present products and services, as well as discuss topics that promote greater productivity in oil activities, combined with social and environmental challenges. The event also seeks to give visibility to business opportunities for suppliers of goods and services in the oil industry, with special attention to the segments with the greatest vocation in Bahia, which include onshore and offshore exploration and production, shipyards and ports, and industries petrochemicals.

This is the first edition of the trade fair and the tenth edition of the PetroNor conference after two editions in Salvador (2009 and 2018), in addition to Aracaju (2010), Manaus (2011), Recife (2012), Mossoró, (2013), Natal (2016), Niterói (2014) and Vitória (2017).

Bahia Oil & Gas is a co-organisation of the Polytechnic Institute of Bahia and the Brazilian Association of Independent Oil and Gas Producers (ABPIP), and has the support of other institutions representing the sector, at the state and federal levels. It is also sponsored by 3R Petroleum, ACELEN, Bahiagás, Larco, Origin, Petrobras, PetroReconcavo and several other companies that supply goods and services to the sector.

PetroNor Conference
Presentation of the current panorama of the exploration, production, refining and transport of oil and gas sector in Bahia and the options for the evolution of the industry in the coming years will be discussed.

PetroSupply Meeting
The meeting will promote commercial exchanges between national and international buyers and suppliers in the sector.

Thematic Arenas
The Innovation and ESG arenas are spaces dedicated to the debate and exchange of ideas aimed at promoting related activities such as technology, innovation, environment, energy transition and socio-environmental sustainability of the sector.

Technical Section
Space for the presentation of technical works with emphasis on the areas of geology and geophysics, operation and maintenance in all segments of the sector (upstream, midstream and downstream).
