Brasco, one of the companies of the Wilson Sons Group, has just signed a contract with Queiroz Galvão Exploration and Production. The terminal will be the basis for the Atlanta Field Development Plan, located in the Santos Basin, 185 kilometers off the coast of Rio de Janeiro and with a production capacity of up to 30,000 barrels of oil per day (kbopd ). The development area is 115,920 km².

In a 1,550-meter water depth, Teekay's Petrojarl I FPSO (Floating Production Storage and Offloading Unit) will be installed and Brasco will initially provide port support for FPSO mooring equipment movements and support for underwater installation activities, by means of its base in the Conceição Island, in Niterói. Subsequently, Brasco's base will support FPSO's production operations.

It is estimated that the operations will begin in September, with the logistics activities that precede the arrival of the FPSO. The first field oil is scheduled for the first quarter of 2018, with initial average daily production estimated at 20 kbopd.

Queiroz Galvão Exploration and Production S.A. is the largest producer of private control in Brazil's Exploration and Production sector, and the only Brazilian private company to operate in the pre-salt premium area in the Santos Basin.

"We were rewarded for this choice in a highly competitive environment, which proves the quality differential of our operations. We are proud to have QGEP back in our facilities, "said Gilberto Cardarelli, CEO of Brasco.

Brasco recently obtained authorization from the Navy to operate vessels of up to 7.6 meters draft, which allows it to dock Platform Supply Vessels (PSVs) and AHTSs (Anchor Handling Tug Supply Vessels) at its Niterói base.
