Consolidating its position as one of the country's leading independent oil and gas operators, BRAVA Energia is marking its presence at this year's edition of Bahia Oil & Gas Energy. At the event, which takes place from May 27 to 29, the company will debate the sector's outlook in the Northeast and present its solutions in operational efficiency and the maturation of its operations in the state, which complete five years in July.
In 2025, the company doubled its production and export of natural gas in Bahia. This progress is the result of the development of the Pitanga formation in the Recôncavo Basin, which currently has two wells in operation. Investment in the region forecasts an increase in the flow of these assets.
"Our participation in Bahia Oil & Gas Energy comes at an important moment, on the eve of completing five years of history in the state. The significant progress we have made in recent years consolidates BRAVA as an independent leader capable of extracting maximum value from onshore assets. We look at Bahia with a focus on long-term efficiency and on strengthening the entire regional productive chain," highlights Brava's Onshore Operations Director, Jorge Boeri (pictured).
In addition to Pitanga, the company is initiating a strategic turnaround in the Recôncavo Basin with the Socorro Field, where natural gas, previously only reinjected, will be commercialized and transported for the first time in the asset's history, generating more business for the state.
Innovation - The company is also investing in innovation initiatives in the region. A system combining drones and Artificial Intelligence (AI) for the daily monitoring of locations in the state is currently under development. The equipment performs flyovers and captures images of strategic points, such as wells and pipelines, and the AI analyzes the photographs automatically, pointing out anomalies. The technology is being trained to recognize deviations, such as the presence of unauthorized people or vehicles and the occurrence of leaks. This integrated AI replaces more time-consuming patrols with automated and fast inspections, covering critical areas every day, allowing for the early detection of failures, which prevents environmental and financial damages.
