Brazil ended 2018 with a positive balance of 529.5 thousand formal jobs, according to data released by the General Register of Employed and Unemployed (Caged), released yesterday (23) by the Special Secretariat of Social Security and Labor of the Ministry of Economy. This was the first positive balance since 2014, when 420.6 thousand formal jobs were generated.
According to the secretariat, in December, due to the usual features of the period for some sectors, there was a decrease in the formal market. The drop in the month stood at 334.4 thousand jobs, resulting in 961.1 thousand admissions and 1.2 million disconnections.
