According to the regulator, there was recovery of 95.4% of natural gas produced - the higher utilization rate and the lowest annual volume of gas flared since the establishment of the ANP.
The burning of natural gas above the limits allowed by ANP Ordinance No. 249/2000 and authorized by the Annual Production Program (PAP) led to the signing of a Letter of Commitment between the ANP and Petrobras in November 2010. As adjustment of conduct aimed at controlling the burning of associated gas in the 20 major producing fields in the Campos Basin.
He was then released the Adjustment Program for Reduction of Gas Flaring in the Campos Basin (PARQ) containing targets of exploitation of natural gas by 2014 and a plan of action that supports compliance. Since then, the ANP has also restricting the authorized volumes extraordinary burning natural gas, providing better results.
