The Brazilian Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP) announced on Monday (27) record in reducing the burning of natural gas in 2013. According to the regulator, there was recovery of 95.4% of natural gas produced - the higher utilization rate and the lowest annual volume of gas flared since the establishment of the ANP.

The burning of natural gas above the limits allowed by ANP Ordinance No. 249/2000 and authorized by the Annual Production Program (PAP) led to the signing of a Letter of Commitment between the ANP and Petrobras in November 2010.
