Chariot Oil & Gas announced Wednesday that it has appointed two new non-executive directors. William Trojan and David Bodecott become members of Chariot's board with immediate effect, the firm said.
Trojan has 36 years' experience in the oil and gas sector, and spent almost 20 years at Royal Dutch Shell in a number of senior positions. For Shell he was involved in exploration work offshore Namibia – where Chariot currently holds licenses covering eight blocks.
Bodecott is a geologist whose 40 years' experience, who has worked in Angola, Ghana and Mauritania among other geographies. He is a co-founder of Rockhopper Exploration – which is currently focused on exploration in the Falkland Islands.
Chariot CEO Larry Bottomley commented in a company statement:
"We are very pleased to welcome Dave and Bill to the board. With the addition of these two highly skilled exploration geologists, the board undeniably has a depth of technical experience which will enable it to enhance its decision making and strategic planning. Furthermore, their in-depth knowledge of the regions in which we hold acreage as well as their insight into the progression of exploration projects will no doubt prove invaluable to our technical and commercial teams as we seek to deliver the company's goals."
