On March 9th, 2014, China's first four shale gas wells zipper fracturing was going smoothly at Changning H2 national demonstrative shale gas mining block in Sichuan, which is currently the most advanced shale gas factory operation around the world. Its success theoretically doubles working efficiency than before, and highlights stable and efficient performance of the Chinese equipment.

A total of 32 most advanced frac spread for 4 horizontal wells completed the highly difficult 56 -stage fracturing operation, with totally 31.7million gal liquid and 12.1million lbs sand injected, many times of that required by conventional shale gas fracturing. To guarantee stability and safety, 32 sets of first-class equipment at home and abroad are adopted, including 13 Jereh units (2500hp), 6 Jereh units (2000hp), 8 Halliburton units (2000hp) and 5 S&S units (2000hp) with the total output power 7000hhp.

Due to the high requirements for the equipment, two sand blenders break down at the early stage of operation and it is noticeable that Jereh sand blenders show reliable performance to ensure the smooth completion.

The business development of China shale gas exploration is increasingly clear with the growing number of successful applications.
