The distribution of natural gas is an essential service in Amazonas, where thermoelectric plants, industries, businesses, gas stations and homes receive this input safely. In order to maintain this operation during the covid-19 pandemic, Companhia de Gás do Amazonas (Cigás) obeys safety protocols established in decrees of the State Government, in addition to meeting the recommendations of specialized health entities.

In order to systematize the actions in the face of the pandemic, Cigás prepared the booklet "Confronting the Pandemic-19 Pandemic". The document defines responsibilities, response protocols and procedures adopted in accordance with the defined protocols, based on the risks associated with the workplace, applicable legal requirements and other recommendations from health and sanitary authorities regarding contagion with the new coronavirus.
