Currently, Petrobras has twenty-eight contracts with Sete Brasil to charter drilling rigs. Charter contracts for seven of the rigs were signed in June, 2011 and the remaining twenty-one rigs were signed in August, totalling US$89 billion. The twenty-eight drilling rigs are scheduled to be delivered at different times: five (05) rigs within ten years; twenty-one (21) rigs within fifteen years and the remaining two (02) rigs within twenty years.

Negotiations are underway to adjust the number of drilling rigs according to the equipment planned for in the 2015-2019 Petrobras Management and Business Plan. Any approval to review the contracts will have to comply with Petrobras’ regulations on corporate governance and conformity, as well as getting the approval of its competent bodies.
