The Juntos pelo Amazonas Group, composed of 15 companies, will support Fiocruz's program Unidos Contra a Covid-19 to take an oxygen plant capable of serving up to 92 beds simultaneously.

Considering the severe health crisis faced by the State of Amazonas due to the escalation of the new coronavirus pandemic, 15 Brazilian major companies and organizations have reunited to develop a solidary action to support the region.

The group will make a donation to the program Unidos Contra a Covid-19 [United Against Covid-19] (unidos.fiocruz.br) of the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (Fiocruz) in the amount of R$ 1.6 million for an oxygen plant to grant support to public hospitals in the region. So far, the Foundation has donated 5 of these plants with the support of the private sector.

The Juntos pelo Amazonas [United for the Amazonas] comprises Ambev, BNP Paribas, BRF, Coca-Cola Brasil, Grupo + Unidos, Magalu, Mercado Livre, Nestlé Brasil, Petrobras, Sesc, SulAmérica, WEG, Whirlpool, XP Inc. and Yamaha. The action of these companies has the institutional support of Eletros – National Association of Manufacturers of Electronic Products –, which helped create the group.

The Juntos pelo Amazonas’ companies have committed to donate funds for the machines and accessories of the new plant, which has state-of-the-art technology and capacity to serve a hospital unit with 12 intensive care beds and 80 hospital and emergency care beds simultaneously.
