EOC Ltd. has started up the Perisai Kamelia FPSO vessel deployed to a fasttrack gas production project in the North Malay basin.

Under EOC’s contract with Hess Exploration and Production Malaysia BV, and in cooperation with local Bumiputera Malaysian partner, Larizz Petroleum Services Sdn Bhd, the Perisai Kamelia will support early production in the area.

The November 2012 start contract covers a three-year charter period valued at $272.1 million, with extension options that could add a further three years.
