T&B Petroleum/Press Office Cepea
The São Paulo ethanol market registered greater liquidity last week, as shown by Cepea research. The total of hydrated ethanol captured by Cepea grew by almost 75% compared to the previous week. This scenario was accompanied by a small drop in prices.
Some distributors consulted by Cepea returned to shopping to replenish their stocks during the period of returns to classes and also with the proximity of Carnival. A good part of the plants, in turn, maintained the sales price or, in specific cases, sold for financial or even tanking reasons.
This small increase in supply was one of the factors that pushed the prices slightly. Between January 20 and 24, the CEPEA / ESALQ Indicator for hydrated ethanol (producer price) closed at R $ 2.0618 / liter (without ICMS and without PIS / Cofins), a small decrease of 0.33% in relation to last week. The anhydrous CEPEA / ESALQ Indicator was R $ 2.2545 / liter (without PIS / Cofins), down 0.57% in the same comparison.
