FIRJAN System presents customized technological solutions for the Oil & Gas Industry

Federetion President participates in meetings with sector authorities to defend Rio de Janeiro O&G industry interests representing the highest concentration of productive chain suppliers in the country

The FIRJAN System is participating in this year's Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) scheduled from May 4th through to the 7th,in Houston, Texas, USA. The Federation of industries is a major partner of many suppliers in the oil and gas sector; which represents major economic importance to the state of Rio de Janeiro where 80% of oil reserves are concentraded as well as 60% of all natural gas reserves in Brazil.

During the event, FIRJAN System President, Eduardo Eugenio Gouvêa Vieira, will formalize partnerships with important sector institutions to strengthen the organization's relations with the offshore market. On the agenda, meetings have been scheduled with important dignitaries such as the Brazilian Minister of Mines and Energy, Eduardo Braga; German State Secretary, Uwe Beckmeyer; Brazilian National Agency for Petroleum, Gas and Biofuels (ANP) General Director, Magda Chambriard and the President of the Brazilian Institute of Petroleum (IBP), Jorge Camargo.

The objectives of the meetings are to unite efforts among these organizations to defend Rio O&G interests. FIRJAN President Eduardo Gouvêa declared, "It is necessary to affirm the strategic importance of oil and gas exploration rights auctions; processes that must move forward. We need to define a continuous, regular timetable so we can clearly foresee and plan the work ahead".

The FIRJAN System reception booth at the OTC will present visitors with a range of services offered to companies by the Federation that include high-tech innovations and solutions, worker qualification courses, professional specialization programs and many job health, safety and quality-of-life initiatives created for oil and gas companies working in the sector.
