Following a successful inaugural event in 2018, organized by FPSO Network, the FPSO Brazil Congress, taking place on 28 - 29 May 2019 is set to return to Rio de Janeiro for its 2nd edition. It will continue to be the only FPSO-dedicated platform for the robust Brazilian market.

Last year, the congress welcomed the region's oil companies, FPSO contractors, investors and solution providers as the community discussed practical solutions to deliver cost-effective FPSO projects while working within the confines of the Brazilian regulatory framework.

One year on, regulatory changes, local content updates and more are steadily shaking up the FPSO market in Brazil. The industry is reported to fast-track the deployment of FPSO units and speed up pre-salt oil production, and now the market sees that local Brazilian companies and International players alike finally have "real opportunity" to harness the untapped mega field potential in the Brazilian seas.

"The 2019 Congress will focus on Actualizing Pre-Salt Mega-Field Opportunities by Overcoming Local Content, Financing, Regulatory & Operational Challenges," said Jamie Tan, Conference Director for FPSO Brazil Congress 2019.

The FPSO Brazil Congress will continue to bring industry leaders across the value chain together to share lessons learnt from their own FPSO project, forge meaningful connections amongst the community and most importantly develop exciting business plans beyond 2019.

The potential of the FPSO Brazilian market is made evident by the presence of key industry players, including Agencia Nacional do Petroleo, Equinor, ExxonMobil, MODEC, QGEP, SBM Offshore, Teekay Offshore and many more.

They will discuss various issues affecting the Brazilian FPSO industry including vessel design, project execution, technological developments, financing, asset integrity, repairs, decommissioning, supply chain requirements and regulations.
