Industrial production grew in six of 14 sites observed in comparison with July the same month last year. The data are from the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) and were released this Friday (Sep. 9).
The most impressive performance of the period was to Pernambuco, up 3.9%. Also showed positive performance Paraná (2.6%), Espírito Santo (2.3%), São Paulo (1.6%), Minas Gerais (1.1%) and Ceará (0.4%).
According to IBGE, a comparison that shows the evolution of the industry's quarterly moving average. In the three months ending in July grew by 0.6%. In June this performance was a positive 0.7%, and in May, 0.8%.

Even in this type of quarterly comparison, ten sites showed positive rates, highlighting advances in Amazonas (4.1%), Pernambuco (1.8%), Paraná (1.5%), Rio de Janeiro (1.1 %), Santa Catarina (1.0%), Ceará (1.0%) and São Paulo (0.8%).
