Rio Pipeline 2019, which starts today (09/03), will have four plenary sessions, 14 forums, three lunch-lectures and 45 exhibitors. The event will also feature 270 works from 14 countries, produced by 1,180 authors. The objective is to discuss the transformations in the mid and downstream markets and the challenges of the sector, such as the demands for new technologies for ultra-deep water oil and gas transportation.
On the first day, Argentina's TGN Chief Executive Officers Daniel Ridelener and French Trapil's Patrice Brès, Petrobras Transporte's president Antonio Rubens Silvino and Plural's CEO Leonardo Gadotti will meet with investors and industry newcomers at the opening plenary session. They will discuss the prospects for the segment expected to receive between $ 20 billion and $ 25 billion in investments over the next 10 years just to meet the demands of new offshore fields.
On Wednesday, the 4th, security issues and the relationship with society will be discussed in the plenary session. Then the challenges of ultra-deepwater pipeline construction and digital transformation will also be addressed during the thematic forums.
On Thursday, the 5th, representatives of the Brazilian Institute of Oil, Gas and Biofuels (IBP), the Energy Research Company (EPE) and the main carriers of Brazil will discuss the challenges and opportunities for the pipeline segment in the country.
