The Board of Directors (CA) of the Brazilian Institute of Oil and Gas (IBP) approved, this Monday (3/3), the appointment of the president of Petrobras, Jean Paul Prates, to assume the presidency of the Institute's collegiate.
On Friday (3/31), Jean Paul was elected as a member of the Board of Directors, which has a new composition for the next two years. The new Chairman of the Board has extensive experience in the oil and gas industry and his expertise will be of great contribution to the IBP Board of Directors and the development of the oil industry in the country.
"It is an honor to have been elected by the IBP to chair the Board of Directors of this institution, which has been fighting for more than six decades for the full development of the Brazilian oil and gas sector. The IBP is an unquestionable reference in proposing effective solutions to respond to the sector's challenges -- always guided by ethics, integrity and technical capacity, in favor of the interests of the country and society. We will work, together, to solidify an industry that is increasingly responsible and committed to the energy transition", he said Jean Paul Prates, President of Petrobras and new President of the Board of Directors of IBP.
