The Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME) published yesterday, 06/02, two ordinances that establish the schedule of auctions for contracting electric energy throughout the triennium 2019 -2021, by the distribution agents of the National Interconnected System (SIN).

The number of Ordinance 151, determines the realization of the New Energy Auctions. In 2019, the A-4 auction will be held on June 27, and the A-6 on September 26. In 2020, the A-4 auction takes place on April 23, and the A-6 auction on September 24. And in 2021, the A-4 and A-6 auctions, on April 29 and September 30, respectively.

The number of Ordinance 152, establishes the schedule of realization of Auctions for Purchase of Electric Power from Existing Generation Projects. In 2019, the A-1 and A-2 auctions are scheduled for December 6. In 2020, the A-1 and A-2 are scheduled for December 4, and by 2021, both auctions will be on December 3.

When publishing the Ordinances, the Ministry of Mines and Energy continues to fulfill its commitment to publish, whenever defined, the schedule of the auctions, giving greater predictability to the society and agents interested in the events.
