Bento Albuquerque from MME met last Friday, 3, with representatives from the oil, gas and biofuel sector. The meeting is part of a series of MME initiatives to monitor the impacts of coronavirus in Brazil.

Sector representatives presented how they are following the market's productive chain so that activities are not harmed. They highlighted the subjects considered points of attention: guarantee of supply and continuity of services, reduction of demand and default.

They guaranteed to make every effort to continue the national supply of fuel, including the supply of LPG, known as cooking gas, which has faced a one-off increase in demand for canisters, which will soon be normalized. They thanked the MME for their initiative and praised the open dialogue in the areas of oil, natural gas and biofuels.

Minister Bento Albuquerque pointed out that all matters in the sector are being closely monitored by him and the MME Secretariat for Oil and Gas and Biofuel. He thanked everyone for their participation and stated that the Ministry is an open channel for all agents, especially to guarantee the competitiveness of supply and national competitiveness. “Only together will we go through this phase and resume our activities as before. They are all part of the problem and the solution. The measures need to be urgent ”. stated.
